Pretty cool photo, shows all the oem clusters Mazda made in Japan after 1995. 2002 and spirit-r clusters belong to me and a customer, respectively.

Brian, do you know if the US gauges/faces will fit into that JDM cluster??

Reason why i ask is because i want that JDM cluster but I DONT want the KPM speedometer.

I know it will look off cause of the different font. But i like the tach on the 02 cluster.

Yes you can swamp them in and out. So, you could have a spirit-r tach and a 93 speedo. I do have a spirit-r tach available, brand new if you are interested.

I will be after a cluster off you in the near future Brian

I thought the 2002 clusters had the chrome lip around the gauge? Or did it vary between models during the year?

Cheers.

^correct, they usually do,I swapped it out with the black trim since the cluster is for me. This is how the versions/years work
96-2000 = black face
2000/2001 = white face
2002 = spirit-r /metallic silver face

Damn those '00/'01 and Spirit R clusters look nice. But I'd have a hard time giving up my speedo with an indicated 7835 miles
However got a black '95+ tach? Price?

Regards.

Well the problem with swapping to a black 96-2000 tach is that it is illuminated green and will thus mis-match the rest of your cluster. You could always just keep your cluster with the 7800 miles in storage and swap it back in when you need to sell it.

Ah yes Green huh? That would be a problem. Oh well but thanks for saving me some money.
