For now we can ship unfinished footrests to be polished by customers. We're still looking for an affordable place to do polishing to our standards, and within the time-frame we need. We've saved a handful of non finished footrests, and can send those to anyone who desires one.

Yes please!

I do not want a polished version but I would like one that is "finished" - sandblasted/shot peened or whatever you plan on using to texture the surface.

I'll cull through the thread and send payment tonight.

TIA,
Crispy

Dan, do you know when you will be shipping? I really need to install this so I can stare at it while my car sits in the garage all winter

Are there any pix of a finished foot rest available? Depending on how it looks I may go with one of those versus a polished version. Thanks.

SHIPPING HAS COMMENCED!!

Most everyone should receive a shipping notification via email shortly with tracking information. If you have not received a notification your footrest has not been shipped yet. I was sorting through the footrests and a few will need to revisit the sand blaster as the finish was not uniform enough for me to feel comfortable shipping.

I'll update the paid/shipped log later today hopefully

There was a mixup at fedex with our account info so they weren't able to bill us for shipping and the tracking numbers may not work yet. Tomorrow everyone who's marked as shipped should be able to track their packages The remaining footrests should be shipped in a few days once they're re-blasted.

Ok guys the remaining footrests will be sent out next week, sorry for the delay Thanksgiving week kind of put a damper on things. For those who already received theirs here's the basic install instructions haha. You install the spacer in the location below and that's basically it!

now i just got to make sure i dont give people a ride that like to brace themselves and press down hard onto it.. i feel that it can bend with ease if given enough pressure

We wanted to give everyone the necessary hardware assuming they had none, you can use the nut we gave you or the original, completely up to you. The majority of the force will be exerted on the floor when you press on it...If your passenger is bending the footrest you're probably about to crash and he or she is stomping the imaginary brake pedal.

It would take quite a lot of force to bend the mounting tabs. The tabs have gussets welded in... unless you push so hard you break the welds on the gussets it will be fine. Also depending on the thickness of your carpet there is a small amount of bend that will occur until the footrest sits flush against the carpet. Unless you have a body builder using your footrest as a leg press machine in your car, you don't have to worry about it.... and even then it should only bend slightly at the tabs.
