Sorry guys we've been at SEMA all week/weekend so everything has been at a standstill. We should have a better gauge of ETA by the end of this week. They definitely wont be ready by this week unfortunately... we've still got paint + dry time, the light connectors, some internals, lenses and packing. There's a ways to go but a large part of the build is behind us. I know these things always drag out but we're not looking at months this time, more like weeks behind schedule SEMA definitely threw a wrench in the works, but it was a great experience.

I feel like I should post a youtube of "tradition" from Fiddler on the Roof" but I can guarantee that since I'm the one holding this whole party up I'm the only one who would find it entertaining.

SakeBomb's long standing tradition - always late, but we always come through

I'm with this guy. I can't imagine being one of the first that paid almost 3 months ago, when the lights started getting built. I'm anxious enough after 2 months.

its more like 2 months, but please remember that a large portion of the work had to be done after our initial order of parts in bulk arrived (which couldn't be ordered till we had a good number of the GB payments in). It's also hard to grasp how large of a task it is to modify, aim, seal, paint, reassemble, hand crimp light connectors, build and hand crimp wiring harnesses, then pack and ship 50 lights assembly line style. It's a huge task... I'm not trying to stall, but we're working as quickly as possible to build everyone's lights to the same quality standards (without cutting corners or rushing the job). Personally I'd rather spend extra time to ensure the lights are built slowly and properly than to rush it. Unfortunately this kinda puts us in the position of having these headlight GB's drag on, but I can't say we've had any dissatisfied customers once they show up.

Soooo pictures or updates on where they stand? Last update was hoping to have them shipped by 12/9. I'm assuming from your quoted post that 12/9 isn't going to happen. Doing my best to be patient but looking forward to this upgrade.

Take your time. Do it right.

The length of time waiting for custom-made headlights is far shorter than the length of time I've owned or will own my FD. I've got way, way more money tied up in that than I do in these headlights.

Metros, welcome to the world of low-volume, custom-fabricated parts for a rare, niche vehicle. These kind of parts always, always take longer than the fabricator estimates. It's the result of their optimism blinded by their perfectionism, combined with the fabricators they have to deal with who have their own schedules and obligations. Patience is rewarded with great custom parts from great people

Most of you guys should have FedEx tracking numbers sitting in your inboxes. The elves in santas rotary division have been hard at work and your lights are finally ready, hopefully you will get them before Christmas .
