I will post additional photos today. So far, nothing fits out the box. It takes a good amount of time to upload the pjctures so bear with me. I also have another FD thats torn apart right now that is taking up my time and garage space.

On the previous post with pictures. The last picture that i posted was of the corner that mates with hood. Notice how its round compaired tothe next picture. Its going to leave a gab on the hood due to the angle.

Back of the hood. One of the retaining points is extremly flimsy and will probably break while trying to install it. Ill have to reinforce it.

When i say impefections or blemishes, I am referring to trash(sand or debris) in the gel coat or issues with the gel coat overall.

I spent alot of time today sanding and shaving the center console to get it to fit right. Most of the posts where too long and didnt allow anything to bolt up. There was too much resin in other places as well. After about 4 hours of work. I got the center console to work. Picture to follow.

before I start saying anything, I don't wanna put you down or anything in anyway that can be negative.
i have been doing a lot more "complicated" parts then this in all my time working with carbon fiber.
the weaving can be perfectly done if you have the craftsmanship skill and patient with the right equipment, not rush it by doing shortcut.

Hey,

Don't worry I am not taking it personally or anything. I am glad somebody takes the time to make a full review as we already shipped out many sets but never got a detailed feedback!

The workshop is doing the parts veeeeeeeery slowly that's why it takes 30-40 days to make a complete set. I don't think they rush them at all! I know that they can reach a good level of quality on all the other parts but this set is really VERY complicated to do. You said that you have experience with carbon fiber and even made some yourself? That's awesome!

To be honest, I would love to use metal molds and autoclave and make a near perfect OEM replica with all the tabs and details replicated perfectly but the mold fee is very high. I can't afford to go this route. We currently use fiberglass molds and it results in an "affordable" set with an acceptable quality IMO!

Oh and I forgot to answer for the issue about the tabs being undrilled. I think it's better this way because it's easier to adjust the panels by drilling the tabs yourself!

yeap fiberglass mould are very affordable and easy process.
but you ever try doing 2 faces mould? that would make a perfect replica for both faces.

I should look into it yes.

Here is the first carbon kevlar RHD dash panels set. The gauge hood will be done later.

With the carbon kevlar being a stronger material, it's even more difficult to get a perfect weaving! Here are a few pictures:

Pictures of the carbon fiber set coming soon.

I am interested in the full set of interior parts. The 4 piece set you sell and the door trims too. Did you ever come across a set of LHD door plastic trims? If not I can donate mine to the cause for now, if your willing to work something out on a complete set.

If it helps, I can offer a complete LHD interior to include door trims and panels.

Provided:
A) I get them back in the condition I sent them to you
B) I get full CF replacements of good quality

Now let's talk about a full dashboard replacement....

Cheers,
Steven

With matte finish does it lose the UV protection?

No it doesn't! The parts will still be UV protected.

We finished the RHD door trims and integrated the handle in the trim. I will post pictures of the first set this coming week. Somebody was supposed to send me a LHD door trim set but now I can't remember who and if it has been done or not!

I was the one that offered to send you my LHD door panels. I still can do this I figured I would wait and see how the RHD panels came out first. I'm ready to ship them out whenever. Also how is the 4pc LHD set coming along that I ordered in Matt finish?

Great! Another forum member agreed to ship them to me but if you can do it earlier then that's awesome!

One thing you must know: They will be ruined by the molding process!

So what's the deal here? Are the lhd dash and center consol carbon fiber parts fitting perfect or near perfect?

What will I need to do if I order to get them to fit right?

I am seeing things like screws not lining up. I don't mind cleaning up the back side and a couple imperfections here or there in the pattern but I don't want to spend the money and have gauges rattling or falling off
