I suggest emailing the guy with a status request. He's pretty quick to reply.

Yeah, that's a pretty long time. On his site, it has a 25-35 day production lead time on the full interior panel kit but you've been waiting longer than that at this point.

It's 5/5, it has not been over the estimated time including shipping time...

Well never the less.. At 40 days one would expect at least to receive a status update or a EMS tracking number by that point. If it was shipped today via EMS, there still would be no way he would receive the item by the 45 day mark. EMS is qouted 5-10 days to recieve from the 25-35 days production date.

I will pick up your part today at the workshop. I saw it yesterday about to be finished.

The leading time is an indication but you need to understand that those moulds are not mine and it can happen that there are 4 orders in front of me so it can take more time than planned. I am trying my best to respect what the website says though.

For updates, send me an email and I will reply instantly. Thanks!

No worries guys, CarbonRXX is legit. I got plenty of RX7 parts including the hood and body kit from him and he is definitely a dependable vendor. He's all over the miata scene too.

Yes we are hurrying up to finish them but the more time I give the workshop the better the weaving will be around the holes. We also finished the RHD moulds and the first set will be finished soon. One in regular carbon fiber and one in carbon kevlar. I also found 2 RHD FDs in Shanghai so I might get lucky and actually fit the new set in one of hose cars.

Thanks for the patience everyone.

The parts arived. To set the record straight the series of pictures show the parts exactly how i recieved them. I am in no way writing this post with any intention of bashing or hurting someone's feelings or business. I am simply supplying pictures that people have requested due to interest in buying the dash kit from CarbonMiata

The box that they came in. Overall impression is its very lightweight. Box had some creases in it from being smashed. Gotta love USPS

Not much bracing inside the box.

All parts where nicely individually wrapped.

Starting off with the bezel. Its nice to look at. There are a few imperfections/issues but not too horrible.

I'm alright with a couple of imperfections, how good is fitment though?

Hey,

What you mean by imperfections is the weaving not being perfect everywhere? It's impossible to make a perfect weaving on such complicated parts entirely made by hand. The fabric has to be stretched to fit and that's why it cannot be like a hood or a trunk.

Keep the pictures and the comments coming! It's definitely helpful. We now sold a few sets and mostly people have been happy with them. I know the fitment is not perfect but by taking close up pictures and explaining where the problems are, I will be able to modify the mold and improve the overall quality/fitment of the sets!

BTW we just finished a carbon kevlar RHD set. I will post pictures soon!

Can you post pics of around the hvac controls?

Also does the weave from piece to piece flow? For example is the weave in the same direction from the hvac to the cluster?
