FD OLED odometer screen Replacement
figured I'd also chime in and say I'd love to buy this with an amber display. sounds like you've got your hands full and aren't hurting for more orders, but I think many of us are looking to keep a cohesive aesthetic around the dash.
I'm in. I'd rather have a white oled working screen than my dead stock unit. I recapped and it died again after a bit. when you start taking boards for the modification repair, i'd be happy to send mine.
As an update, I did pick up a couple amber light diffusing screens, and they just flat out dont work with oled screens. I didnt get a picture i just returned them to amazon.
But I have started the group buy list for the first 20 people. Its filling up so if you want on the list direct message me!

I totally love what you are doing here! This is very cool. For the people that want an amber display, could you use yellow tint film over it like you would a fog light?

Thanks everyone! for those that got in on the action, i received an email from my manufacturer saying production was completed early and parts are to be delivered to me Friday!!!!
Again though, OLED technology doesn't work with colored light diffusion screens such as amber over lays to change the color. Further more ive had a couple people say they would buy it with a red/amber text screen. this doesnt Jive with the current protocol and screen hardware selected. That said to put the ball in your court, and so I dont just go thru a complete hardware redesign and r&d of a new full color protocol such as (spi vs i2c) and only convert one of the claims of "id buy that" to a real sale, If I can get 10 people committed to purchase by way of paying, I will be happy to go through the process building that. What that entails is contacting some of my suppliers and asking for a suitable size screen that is full color, a programming interface that any particular microprocessor can interface with, recompiling the current code to the select processor and starting to software rev with the new screen comms. If this is of interest let me know so I can vet the tire kicker critics from the serious buyers.

Update: one of my suppliers has a full color screen the *almost perfect* size at the cost of a bit of reduced resolution (actually fairly significant) i am going to try. I will have to do a complete revision of code and writing the software may take a bit of time (or not who knows) but basically if people are ok with a more pixelated text but with the amber color there might be a solution sooner assuming the microprocessor can communicate with it.
Sure thing. It looks very good against the white of the numbers. You can see it pretty good in some of the videos posted. The concern from most I think as that the color doesn't match the backlighting. Price is $400 and I completely sold out my first round of 20 at that price. Version 2 may add some other functionality for a little higher price. Anything at version 1 if I do another run of those will stay at $400.
