OR Carbon fiber door sill applique

The FD needs something to cover the door sill. All FDs either have scuffs on the door sills or they will have scuffed up sills since they are so wide. I've tried the OEM Mazda Aluminum sills as well as real carbon fiber copies of those sills on my FD and haven't really been happy with the fit and finish of them.

My solution looks great, covers and protects the paint and doesn't have any of the ill fitting and clunky look of the OEM Aluminum sills which also gets scuffed up.

I've got some 3M carbon fiber look vinyl door sills available for $37.50 shipped in the US.

Take a look at the pics and see for yourself.

Take a look at your door sills then check the links!

This is a great solution and everyone that sees them in person really likes them.

Very nice product. If I didn't already have CF door sills I would be all over this for sure.

a light mist of windex before you apply the vinyl will also allow it to slide around to position it correctly, if you keep picking it up and putting it down it will lose some adhesion. It will also make it easier to remove trapped air bubbles. you can also use a credit card as a squeegee to push air out.

IF you use this method, you will need to let it sit and allow the fluids to evaporate before you mess around with it

looks good

Thanks for the tip. This is actually 3M material that has air channels. I have put 3 sets on and haven't had any problems with air bubbles.

Guys,

Met Jeff and saw these on his car at Sevenstock. First off, Jeff's a great guy who has brought us several great products over the years. It was very cool to finally meet him. I was so impressed with the sills that I bought a set. Very affordable, extremely simple to install, and really cleans up the door sill area. Highly recommended!!

If you are climbing in/out of race buckets-

it is going to feel a lot better putting your hand on this applique stuck directly to the body than the carbon or aluminum sill covers that flex/move/break with your weight on them.

Thanks for posting up a pic of them on your car Tim, they look great, even if I'm biased a bit.

Guys, I've lowered the price to $30/set shipped due to lower than expected shipping costs.

PM me for paypal info.

Thanks,
Jeff

Do you plan on offering them in something less flashy? Say matte black?

Sure if I can get 10ish orders.

The CF isn't really flashy though. The pics taken are closer up than when you just look at it from a normal position.

I have been making it a point not to have anything carbon fiber on my FD. I went overboard on my DSM (CF Doors, hatch, hood, fuel lid, door sills, center console, a pillars, exhaust guard, wiper cowl, front lip). I prefer to stay stealth :P

Count me in for a matte black finish. Or if anybody else wants a different color, please chime in.

Bump this up guys. Great way to clean up all the scratches in your door jamb or get rid of those old beat up AL door sills that probably don't fit very well anyway.

Ive had these on my car since last year and it has held up very well. No pealing of any sort and still looks good. Great product and very easy to install. Sorry for the phone pics.
