I'm wondering if the first production run shouldn't remain at like 10 units only, and then some folks should test them out to make sure there aren't any issues. Would SUCK to make 50 of these only to find that there's some variance between model years or within model years, etc etc.
I'll happily test a RHD pedal in my S8 if needed. I have one of those rare FD's that can actually move under its own power .
Oh man!!! I think my ego is bruised so bad I need to close down the thread and go back into hiding!
On a more serious note... My girlfriend, in her infinite wisdom, pointed out the obvious to me last night "Why dont you remove the clutch or break pedal from the car so you can take pictures in decent lighting" DUH! what was I thinking!?
Here is the break pedal after removing it from the car with no cleaning. No wonder it looked so much darker than the new gas pedal....
After cleaning the pedal with a plastic scrub brush and some degreaser.
And after a brass wire brush to remove some more dirt/oxidation the plastic brush couldn't get.
I have tried to fit in another row and couldnt get it to work out but your mspaint skills do not lie. Ill mess with the latout again since I have had a few requests and see what we can come up with!

That pedal looks nearly factory.
Not meaning to pick, but could you fit in an extra row of circles in there to make the spacing more similar to the stock pedals?
Sorta like this really pants MS paint job I just did: IMG_3658 by Tom Kinsman, on Flickr

Sideo, you're awesome dude. The comparison shots look great. I literally said to myself: "he nailed it" and yet your willing to revamp the design to go that extra mile and make them better than perfect. Kudos to you man.
Quick word of advice on the rework; if you do try to accomodate a new row of circle-holes you may want/need to divert away from the exact dimensions of the original gas pedal. Perhaps by increasing the overall height of the pedal by say 1/8" on top and on bottom, you'll gain the extra 1/4" necessary to add the extra row.
If ultimately you you choose to keep it as is, I can speak for the vast majority of people here and say we still think it looks great!
How did i miss this thread for so long! :o
Those are friggin amazing! Big creds for the design, and making both finish and the holes identical to OEM. I would love a set when they are ready. Also, the way you handle feedback and actually try to improve your design based on them show a very nice understanding of peoples needs. If i way ask, what is your dayjob/proffession?
The only microscopic issue i have with the current design is some of the corners. While i read that you discussed the radius t be similar to OEM, some of them looks a bit off in my eyes.
I guess they are the same radius as the others, but due to a bigger angle, they seem sharper. I think it would be cool to see if you could make them a bit less distinct, and not so sharp as they appear now. The 90degree corners are perfect, but the others could do with a small massage

Could you do another round on the hole spaing on the foot rest also? It looks a bit of now that the other two are getting so close to stock look

Awesome, cheers for having a look into it. I'm down for one either way, but the closer to stock the better .
I have been following this thread and I love what I've seen.
I was wondering if anybody had discussed or thought of instead of just a dead pedal cover, what if it was made more like the Spirit R passenger foot rest? Still with the same face design but a complete bolt up piece.
Just a thought I had and sorry if I missed it already mentioned. Can't wait for the pricing on the gas pedal though. I'll be interested for sure!
