i'll get more pictures as i am working on this set.

here's what the custom case looks like to cut off the LEDs from the rest of the housing.

these will likely be the final style i use for final production in all the current modded FTPs unless i find some materials that fit/work better.

i have also decided that this is just going to be an introductory price for a few months due to the amount of time it is taking to do the modifications and repairs, totalling about 4 hours and costing ~$35 for materials for each pair. regular pricing after the group buy is done will be between $150 and $175 regularly priced. perhaps i will do more group buys again if/when business is slow enough.

i also have a few pairs of core FTPs, but some are in better condition than others so i still prefer sending in your originals if they have no micro cracks in the plastic lens surface. most all have them to some extent or another. i don't want anyone feel like they're getting the short end of the stick if you have exceptional condition cores, as this is a cosmetic part.

i designed everything to be subtle, you have to be looking to even notice that they're there.

also, it doesn't really matter what condition the lenses are in, most people think that if they look horrible they aren't good anymore. all the examples i used had yellowed, hazey and sometimes impossible to see through lenses which all come out looking like new again. i will try and get some before and after shots, the most recent pair i worked on you couldn't see into the housings because the covers were so yellowed and hazey but they turned out nicely.

won't be a problem, i have a handful of spare FTP parts and enough to still build half a dozen sets of FTPs(except studs, sorry for the ranting..).

let me know which side you have that is cracked and i will see if i either have another good lens or a complete spare housing. replacement complete housings are $20, or $10 for just the lens.

i'm sure i can find something in amber, it could even be used as a front marker/turn signal replacement.

i will get some as soon as i get the ones finished and put onto my car, my girlfriend's car is waiting for a new engine to be built so it's inoperative at the moment.

also please note:

as of currently i have had alot of engine repair work come in recently so please contact me for a timeframe for getting these modifications done, after i complete all the current ones in i will have to arrange a scheduling timeframe to complete any more sets until work slows down again.

Thanks

I changed my mind I don't think I have seen led strips using plcc-2's there more likely 5050.

i'm going to put a hold on the FTP modification orders until i get caught up, sorry guys. i will probably start doing them again towards the end of summer. it's just pushing my workload too far behind getting these done at the moment with engine jobs and walk in customers piling up.

i will make one set of amber for those who are interested in seeing what it would look like with a bumper turn signal delete. for now i can't say when i will have that done though.

Have you considered selling a DIY kit to satisfy some of the demand? I know I'd be down to buy one...mostly cause I'm stationed overseas and would have a tough time going 2+ weeks without my FTPs.
