How functional is this hood as far as actual cooling goes? I've always been a little confused about the backwards air intake setup... If it works though, this would work way better than stock for me cause my radiator (obviously), intercooler & oil cooler are all mounted in the front. And with the stock vent all the air is kinda forced closer to the back of the engine and obviously is a little less efficient for my setup ><

I couldn't get the original price, which is understandable. Mr. Tilbury responded same day though, I look forward to receiving this beauty!

I bought it too LOL. I wanted to wait and see if some one and had something to say about how good it fits but I guess I'm too impatient. Lol

Here are a couple I snapped:

It's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good. There are a couple spots in the weave that get a little out of line and a small rough spot that I may be able to lightly sand and buff out. I'm happy with it, it's one of the most affordable CF hoods I've found with a bad *** vent scheme. Imperfections though they may be, they also speak to the fact that it was handmade. I did appreciate the tag under the hood with a serial number and such, I'll have to take more pics sometime. It won't go on the car very soon though. I work full time, I'm finishing an engineering degree, the car doesn't even have a motor in it and I'm still waiting on other parts. It's like life is procrastinating me.

Any chance we could get some pics of this on cars, without the huge obnoxious watermark? Potentially interested in this, but would like to get a better idea of what it looks like on a car.

Also would appreciate info regarding whether I'm actually seeing a hood latch in post 20; is that a functional hood latch on a CF hood?

Finally, any solid numbers on weight of this? Has anyone measured if/how much this reduces temperatures under the hood, or if it increases airflow through the radiator?

sorry bud I saw your post but I've been pretty busy lately and I think my motor just went south! I'll post some pictures soon as I get home I'm not sure how to do it so it might take me a while. i love it because its modest not too flashy but noticeable. it does have a functional hood latch but as stated before probably should use hood pins for safety. As far as the hood cooling the motor I would say it's better than stock making some air dams would make it way more functional.

Awesome, thanks for the cooling-related info!

Will definitely be looking forward to some proper pictures; ZN Performance damaged my hood (basically took a hammer to it, as best I can tell) while at the shop, and I'm leaning towards a new hood over trying to repair and repaint the stock one. This one seems really enticing.
