So no one has one for sale, Thats had it installed on the car with some pictures so I could see how well it sits or how well it fits to the seal, And is it water tight fit.

I just recently noticed even imed the folks in china.. The carbon fiber ones that are sold online by shops that buy them bulk.. They stopped production because the seals have problems working on the car.hence they are now doing a redeveloping a new mold.

this is tru about the online cf panels. trust me i had one and sent it back. the front of it diped below the roof a bit and the seal would not fit because they made the lips too small and thin.
not sure about retro-spec they seem so make good products though.

shine auto makes these in fiberglass im one of the few that have them and fitment is amazing. other companies dont have good fitment at all, look through threads and youll see the crap tht other companies have done. shine is one of the best on the market right now.

Hey guys,

I have some carbon kevlar/carbon fiber/fiberglass sunroofs available for the FC. I am looking for somebody with a clean car to snap some beautiful pictures of the panel fitted. Of course, this would go with a very decent discount.

Contact me at: info@carbonrx7.com

(I am a GB sponsor here FYI!)

Thanks!

Marc

I bought mine from Retro-Spec, which is now C7Carbon I think. The quality was pretty good, only very slight imprefections, nothing that I had issues with. I've seen only 1 other FC with a carbon roof and the quality was not nearly as good as mine. Fitment was ok. The only real issue I ran into was the studs were slightly off and too long for the sunroof headliner to fit right. I used a dremel to shorten the studs and it went on fine from there. I reused the original seal since mine was in perfect condition and I haven't had any issues with water after washing. Even through an auto wash. I'll be honest, I don't drive my car in the rain.

All of the issues I've read about fitment I think come from how hard it is to reinstall. I spent over an hour aligning the sunroof and I still didn't get it perfect. I didn't really notice til I had it all back together, but the passenger side is a little high. But it is a royal pain to align. I usually have mine popped up, so the passenger side being high doesn't matter.

Customer service was so so. I had to email and call him on a number of occasions to push him to complete the order. But it wasn't that bad, and I was happy with both my carbon roof and radiator panel.

Did you had to glue the rubber seal to the sun roof?
