Thumbs up Japan2LA (j-spec TII front clip)

7.5/10.
He's alright, drove quite a ways to get to LA, he didn't wanna meet 1/2 way, but I can understand, I suppose. bit pricy (2200 for front clip -motor, tranny, hood)

He sent me a picture of a red front clip, really nice. No fuckups on the bumper or fenders.
When I got there, it was a different car than the pic. It had fucked up front fenders bashed in to hell. No windshield(which the pic had). Front fenders again, were pretty smashed, but I could understand if it was shipped from Jap. But the pic he sent me was here, so apparently, it was a different car, also the frontbumper was fairly different....
No big deal, but I do have yet to install it to see if it's running, but we're gonna test it later this week.... He promised it was a startup and would run fine(minus a few things to tune up)

Good in person, alright chats and stuff, seems nice for a salesmen.
Just worried to see if it really DOES run and w/e... But only big deal I'm up with is the drive all the way out there killed my wallet(for gas) and sleep. and the car's different than the picture, which boggles my mind...

Other than that, it's a good deal.
Will most likely buy from again.

I hope you are not telling everyone here that this deal was a bait and switch... Here are the pics. I sent you one pic (which was taken in Japan) and I took pics of the clip the day you picked it up. Its the same clip, no doubt about it! Front clips get stacked in piles of 3 and the body panels are almost always damaged during shipping. I had the guys in Japan remove the hood and the front bumper in Japan so that those parts did not get damaged..Figured you would need the hood and maybe have the bumper with the Jspec FTPS and turnsignals..I bolted the hood back up once the clip arrived and did not see the point in bolting the front bumper back on.. Both fenders where damaged during shipping and that was out of my control. I do not believe you bought the clip for the fenders, you are buying it for the Drivetrain parts needed to swap your Na to turbo. Also, windshields do not come with frontclips, you cant see it in the 1st pic but the windshield was already cut in Half in Japan with a sawzall.

Lastly I sometimes do delivey for free for local buyers and shops, but I was not about to deliver a clip to Las Vegas or 1/2 way to Barstow for free... And I got up at 4:30 AM to meet you since you called me at 12:30am saying you were on your way...you did not get here till 930am.. and I did not even bitch about that..

LMK when you get the swap installed and running..

Finally, you and your brother seem like nice guys and I am sure we will do more business in the future.. With this frontclip, you should be able to convert your Na to turbo fairly easily. You do need some other important parts that you dont have yet, I hope you get the parts you need ie: TII diff and axles, TII d-shaft, correct fuel pump. Take your time, install it correctly and dont cut any corners and you should have a very nice running Turbo FC3S.. Lastly I hope you take heed to the parts I suggest you replace/prep/clean/service before you run the motor..
Enjoy

Wink

Ahh, I thought you took the pic in LA, is why.
I know how the ship it, but I just thought it was taken in LA.

I'll be lookin' you up for some parts when needed for sure, though. You're a pretty good guy.

-If you were going to take it to Barstow or whichever, I was gonna help pay for your gas. I just didn't know you would when I asked you said no. I understand completely that you'd need gas money and stuff for the shipping.

But yeah man, I'll hit you up when we get this sucka runnin'.
You have NO idea how much trouble we went through getting it off the trailer. haha we had a tiny jack and some jack stands. :P we just pulled it off, but no serious damage.

D'yknow how much time it'd take to convert to right seat?

Also, you said to get there 9-10, which we made it on time, even through going 1/2 way to Disney world for them 12 year olds. ROFL(inside joke)

Thanks.

EDIT::
I wanted the front fenders, but it's not really a problem, I guess I can just pop the dent out on the front right one I've got. XD

I'll second, third and fourth that. Brian is a really great guy and is always willing to make things right. He is not out to rip anyone off. I had a slight problem a while back with an engine that i bought from him, and when i contacted him regarding the problem, he went out of his way to correct the problem. So yeah, definally a great guy to do business with.

A customer of mine just picked up a diff from him, worked like a charm. Never had any problems with parts from Japan2la, you probably won't either..
