I bought a used alt from Fred when mine went bad. Got the alt in two days at a very good price. When I got the alternator, I was not impressed. It looked like it was pulled from an engine that caught fire. But Fred said he had it tested and that the alt was good. So keeping in mind it's the inside not the outside of the alt that matters, I installed it. Jumped the car and behold!!!! A solid 14.3v reading from the PFC. Thanks again Fred!

I bought 4 motors last Summer and all of them were one thing or the other : coolant seals gone bad , apex seals cracked , engine fire , etc. ... only one of them was a running core and that one is IN my car now ... the engine fire one was from a JDM motor , and it was near the firewall , so I knew the electrical parts were good , but I had them tested anyway to be sure ... glad I could help you buddy ... now buy my Guitar effects , Hahaa
