Full Detail Automotive -- Killing it with Service

Gotta give props to Full Detail Automotive -- @FDAUTO -- on an impeccable purchase of an OEM 13B-REW.

First: No wait. Not years. Not months. Not weeks. Not even days. Now, that won't be the case for all buyers. They specifically state that you will have to put your money down for pre-order and wait. But I happened to ask, they happened to have one available, and I snagged it. 5 Business Days from Inquiring to having it in my garage. Near as I can tell, that may well be a post-COVID record for an OEM engine.

But, less unique to my particular scenario than actually having a 13B in-stock, was the absolute top-notch customer service.
  • I got a PM when they got my payment.
  • A PM for the freight quote -- which, unlike nearly every other OEM engine provider was for residential lift-gate deliveryand cheaper than others. Many of the other guys you can buy from don't even offer residential delivery, let alone that level of convenience being the default standard.
  • A PM with pre-shipping photos when the engine carton was all labeled up and ready-to-ship.
  • A PM with photos when the engine was loaded onto the truck.
  • A PM inquiring about the delivery
  • When the delivery was delayed (not their fault of course) they spent time of their own volition (I did not ask nor expect) over two different days over the Holiday weekend to work with the freight company to reschedule a delivery date/time that worked for me.
  • And a request for follow-up upon delivery to make sure it arrived smoothly

I would have to assume you won't get quite that level of over-communication if you're not buying a $6K motor. But, i'm also certain that level of genuine care and concern doesn't only appear solely with the big price-tag.

Bottom-line, if they made and sold more items, I would absolutely be sending them my business. I'd love to see if the level of customer care extends to the quality of the products they actually produce in-house. So will be looking forward to them producing items that I would need in the future.

Our appreciation for your feedback is boundless.

Just to make it clear... whether its $6, $6,500 or $65,000..... we treat everyone the same 😎😎. Just as we stated in our welcome post, people who CHOOSE to support small businesses deserve the most respect because you had options. The amount being spent is irrelevant.

We built the shop on customer service and we take it VERY seriously. We often times take it too far but don't care. You're all worth it.

We're grateful you gave us the opportunity to show you what we're all about and how we operate.
