RB26 > 13BREW > RB25DET > 13BT > SR20

Congratulations on putting yourself on the bottom of the turbo food chain.

^ Where is the 2JZ in that list? And yes, Joshuaput is officially ostracized.

well... the wiring and ECU are for a rotary. You are going to need to go standalone or ni.... "afro-engineer" something with an SR wiring harness and ECU.

Main question... WHY?!?!?!?!?! If you are going to spend way too much money on a swap... do it once, do it right. Go 20B or (ahem, sorry guys) LSx.

I knew someone was going to bitch about that. I'd say around the same... The 2JZ has more big-power potential but the RB26 has high-revving, race engine-like sexaformance (6ITBs FTW).

I was basically listing just the Nissan and Mazda performance engines that popped into my head.

I can't believe I forgot the 20B though... (...except that you basically get sub-SUV mileage with it)

why not the 20b? you'll end up saving money on the swap, as there are mount kits already made for it.

20b is awesome but not a realistic swap. SR has been done time and time again, is actually more cost effective, and will make for one bad-*** toy.

I am not 100% against this swap, but it already seems from your question that you will need lots of money. You need someone to do the moun kit for you, wiring, and all other plumbing.

You would be closer to this swap if you knew someone or could do it yourself.

sr20det rwd setup=2000-2500 for 205hp
13bt= 1300-1500 bolt in

Sorry to ramble, but everyone thinks the sr20det engine is so cool because its JDM, but it was in our fwd sentra se-r and g20 since 1991. 140hp. They have strong blocks that can handle good power, but their heads and valvetrain need work. What other 4cyl turbo engine cant do that?

I think this thread belongs in the Other Engine Conversions forum, since it's not rotary tech at all.

Just sell...wait...better yet...GIVE away your rx7...buy a 240sx and put an sr20 into that.

save you money with mounting, and hey, you could probably sell your rx7 enough to cover the swap.

but Why in gods name do that? I say 13bt with a port and bigger turbo. A much faster motor and car than most sr20's will be, its cheaper, and it bolts right in.

sr swap

all you will need is the uncut harness with the motor and you. must have new mounts made along with a customized trans brace. $5.000-6.500 complete swap
