XADO metal treatment any opinions?

Hello all,

Has anyone heard of or used this product?
http://www.xado.ca/index.php

I was recently asked about this buy a rotary tuner here in Japan, I am a bit skeptical about it but thought I would see if anyone else has heard of it or had any experience with it.

Not something I would trust without testing it.
What is the tuner trying to accomplish?

Not sure if he has an exact purpose for it at the moment, but he seemed interested in the reconditioning qualities it claims to have.

I told him I didnt really trust a product that made such large claims with so little evidence. When I was doing a search online about it, there seemed to be quite a few posts on a variety of forums and a lot of the positive posts were posted up by users with xado.com registered email addresses hahaha.

Well you cannot just pour it in, but-

Housings and rotors can be Cermet coated which can save them
Working on a Nikasil process for irons and possibly housings to improve sealing and wear characteristics to worn irons especially. Nikasil is harder than the nitriding originally used and fairly cost effective to have done. I KNOW that Mazda used this process for some race engines and Atkins has as well. Back then housings ere cheap and no one cared.
Goopy Performance is resurfacing irons and are working on a process to rechrome housings.
There is someone else I just read about ho is also developing a rechroming process
I am also working on having the solid corner seals Casidium coated, which will wear at least as well as OEM nickel plating and have better friction fighting qualities, both of hich equal long life.

Understand (and maybe explain if the tuner is not already aware) that good used housings and irons are becoming harder to find, and are fairly expensive new or used, especially compared to hat they used to cost. Several people see the writing on the wall and are working on solutions to the problems.
