wtf!!!

Hello all I have an 88 gxl and last night after leaving my friends house I noticed the car stereo light was a bit dim. A few minutes after, all the lights went dim and once I hit the brakes a few times the lights were pretty much out. The car's idle was kind of rough and pressing on the accelerator the car responded with much hesitation. btw- my voltage gauge was reading very low volts. It's obvious it's an electrical issue, any suggestions on what to check first would be much appreciated.-----Ren

your alternator may have gone out and the battery is drained. Do check your cables but that is more of a slow cranking problem. Just guessing because we are not there.

Sounds like the alternator or alternator belt.
