window motor?

window motor?

i have a 88 vert and my driver window wont go up i checked the switch seems fine u can here a clickin sound at the motor when u press down but u hear nothin when trying to wind up is my motor fried or what and if so do i have to have a vert motor or can i use any model motor thanks

I've replace just about every window motor in my wifes Cavalier, when they start going they start getting slow, or u put the window down and it won't go back up. It takes more from the motor to push that heavy glass up than it does to bring it down. I can't see why the motor in a convertable car should be any different than one in a hardtop.
