why 2 oil coolers

93 silver tt only 1 oil cooler whats up? my oil cooler was smoking today after just moving my car out of someones spot,i notice that is was smoking on the left side but on the right it looks like there should be another can anyone help.

Only the R! & R2's had dual cans.....all the rest only got one.

on the cars with just one, it is on the drivers side..if that helps. I consider the drivers dies the "right" side.
