Where: Oil Cooler Repair

I bought an R1 oil cooler setup and the seller sent me the backside of the oil coolers. They need to be repaired before I put them on my car. Anyone know of a place I can ship them off to, to be rebuilt?

I used to see this on the Rx8club forums; guys would send their oil coolers off to get repair/rebuilt. Many of those places are long gone.

The aviation industry has an entire heat exchanger/oil cooler repair sector. I often drew from it early in my rotary adventure. Anyways, I got my coolers flushed, cleaned, and overall refurbished about 20 years ago and they turned out amazing. They also had full FAA service available.

I found it... oil cooler fixing/cleaning - pics and info - RX7Club.com - Mazda RX7 Forum WOW, that's quite the flashback!

I found an aviation company that repairs them this morning. After emailing them photos, they said that mine were beyond repair. Basically they take dental tools and pull each of the fins to straighten them and mine look like they have been hammered in and rubbed along asphalt. At this point I think I am going to contact the seller and ask for a refund. I will probably go with the above DIY for adding a second cooler. It is a shame this stuff is so expensive for what it is.
