What tool do the Pro's use to fix Rad fins?

Is there a special tool available out there that helps straighten out bent radiator fins?
Anyone have a link or a pic of one?
Thanks,
-a

GO TO HOME DEPOT they have a fan/brush/comb thingy for it... I picked it up at checkers or autozone (cant remember) for like 6 bucks...

And they told me if they didnt have one go to home depot and get the ones that clean the ac units!!!

Cause if you were to use a screwdriver, buy an 8ball of crack, a few redbulls, and call in sick for a cpl days... Cause it probably takes forever...

Yes, you can buy fin rakes or flat-bladed pliers. Eastwood sells both, but try your local auto store first. Screwdrivers don't work very well for this kind of work.

problem with the fin straigheners is they only work well on stuff like home a/c condensors-where the fins are straight.

screwdrivers work just fine provided you have the patience.

It's the wedge shape that's the problem with a screwdriver. I've found the flat pliers to be easier and faster to use. I don't recall that they were expensive either, so I think they're a good buy.

On the other hand, thinking more about the fin rakes, I haven't found them to be very useful-- the one I have has tines that are either too closely spaced or too widely spaced for the fins on any of our vehicles.
