What timing to run on stock port 12A w/Weber 45DCOE?
I've got a stock port 12A that I've just installed a Weber 45 DCOE onto. The ignition is still stock (although I plan on upgrading the leading ignition to an MSD 6A setup). The exhaust is comprised of a Racing Beat road race header and street port exhaust.
I'm chasing a high idle issue...so far I cannot find any leaks. When it gets to temp, the header glows. I've just changed the idle jets, but haven't had a chance to run it yet as the car is on jackstands ATM and I don't want to gas the house and get my wife on the warpath. But I don't know what the timing should be set to. From what I've read about boingers using 45 DCOEs, these apparently favor timing that is advanced over stock.
For those of you who are running Webers on your stock port 12As, what timing are you running.

fwiw, I did locate the high idle issue. Leaking throttle shaft seals. Replacing those fixed that, but I think it's jetted a little lean as my exhaust temp light came on while climbing a hill after 20 mins of driving.
