What sort of maintenance intervals do you use?
In one of the other threads, there was some discussion on oil change intervals and such. Someone suggested a 7500-12000 mile interval for oil changes on a "highway only" car... which I personally thought was well beyond crazy.
I'm running a basically stock S4 NA motor, with the oil injection system disabled (running premix at a 100:1 ratio, give or take, usually erring on the side of more oil than less).
I change my oil and filter every 2000 miles or so, spark plugs at 5000-7000 (but I'll clean them if I get bored), and try to bleed my brakes every few months. The coolant is new, but I'll probably change that in a year or two.
I check the tire pressure quite often, every other week or before I leave for a long trip.
It's probably a bit excessive, but I do get oil dilution with premixing, and as someone on another forum pointed out, "Change your oil - not your engine." I've changed the engine once and have no desire to do it again any time soon. The rest of the stuff I just consider general maintenance on a sports car. Plus, it's really, really easy to do.
What sort of intervals do other people use?
