What Oil 2 Use In A 13B S6 Engine With Single Turbo Conversion etc ?

What is the best oil to use, i asked 2 rotary specialists workshops and they both recomended an oil called Conoco 20W - 50 so i bought it and poured it in but i'm not sure if its any good. Some people say to use Mobil 1 and u'll have no problems and some people say DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC !! so it getsconfusing. i am pre-mixing Motul 800 2T 2 stroke oil in with the fuel at a 150:1 ratio too.

what oil and visciousity should i use ? Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Valvoline, 5W - 50, 20W - 60 or what ?

cheers

Since you are running pre-mix, I'm assuming you've removed the OMP and oil injectors.

The whole 'synthetics wear down your seals and doesn't burn completely' argument kind of gets thrown out the window, since you are no longer injecting it into the rotor housings

In that case, I would run Mobil 1, or whatever good synthetics you can find in NZ. Since synth is definitely the best lubricant. 15W-50, is what I'd use.

Just in case you are running pre-mix and the OMP, then I'd go for a good quality mineral oil, 20W50 like you already stated.

I would also like some opinions for my Turbo II 13b. I was thinking 20w50 or 15w50. But what I am asking is what brand should I use? I wanted to use something non-synthetic. Thanks.

I have been very pleased with revomax oil from Pettit. It is available in 15w40. I use it in my fd race car and it is awesome. And it's reasonably priced.

No offense, but I use this Very special oil.
it is called "On Sale".

PS: thanks for reviving a Twelve year old OIL thread.
I'm sure Tupac will read this when he comes "back".
