Looks just like a GSLSE engine to me, except the intake manifold says "super injection" instead of RE-EGI on the US spec models. The GSLSE 13b 6 port was rated at 135hp...even the 86-88 6 port is only rated at 146hp...I do not see how that little intake (and the little ports inside the engine, compared to 86+) could produce 160hp.

The acv looks different from US GSL-SE and they may not have had the 3 cat set-up which might have something to do with higher power output.

Probably a Euro S3 13B engine.

Remember the Euro models had distributers way into the late 80's.

I want one for my SE. A ported one like that would move the little first gen like a bat out of hell. It would be a blast to drive.

It is not from an RX-7, the only 1st-gens to have a 13B were North American models (GSL-SE).

It's from a Cosmo or Luce. That engine kind of replaced the 12A-6 Port, and was eventually kind of replaced by the 13BT. (Which was definitely replaced by the 13B-RE, which is "the Cosmo engine" that people think of - it's the twin turbo model with the teeny tiny turbos yet honkin' huge ports compared to the FD's 13B-REW engine)

Nothing particularly special about it, other than the cool wordage on the manifold. Has some extra nubbins here and some missing nubbins there on the manifold as compared to GSL-SE.
