Hi all,

I'm doing an engine build at the moment, using FC and FD parts (FC plates and FD housings/rotors). The apex seal springs have one end painted pink. The part numbers are:

N326-11-C04 A inner apex seal spring
N326-11-C06 A outer apex seal spring

I'm sure last time I built an engine there was no paint on the apex springs. Is there any subtle orientation trick I need to watch out for?

crazy question:are they used or new seals?

 

It is just the springs, not the seals. The springs have pink paint one end, both inner and outer. They are new, Mazda OEM.

 

disregard the paint, there is no particular orientation for the springs. i have no idea why mazda painted the ends pink.
