weber 48IDA help? please watch video

Weber 48 IDA on lighlty ported (4-port, early 13b). Can't figure this out. had 250 mains and 70 idle jets. The car ran pretty good except for cruising. It would sputter alot. And on deceleration, it seemed to "load up" cuz coming out of deceleration and stepping on the throttle, it would just die out....much like the in the video. Got advice that my mains were too big, so I swapped them for 220 mains. Now it's worse and I can't even drive it. Also swapped in 60 idle jets. Please watch the video and see what you think. Thanks for any help!

What e-tubes do you have on it? What size venturies? Have you checked the float level? Fuel pressure under load or rev?

F-11 emulsion tubes, 42mm venturies, 3.5 fuel psi at idle. My fuel pressure guage is under the decklid, so I can't watch it under load

how do i check the float level? the cap of the carburetor has to be on because it holds the fuel inlet line. I can't see what the float is doing when the cap is on.

You pull the cover and the float comes with it. Hold it so the float is lightly seated, and measure from the top of the float to the top of the housing. Thats your setting. Check that vs. stock setting and other guys IDA's.

No, the float does not come off with the cover. it is mounted in the bowl. This is a weber 48IDA. Not sure what carb you are thinking of.
