Hi, I've done a lot of research to try and understand the specifics of this stuff. I'm still a little confused. I dont really understand how to tell how much water to inject and when. I'm not real sure why some people chose to run staged injection systems and others dont. Staged makes a lot more sense to me. Higher rpm means more fuel which means the motor needs more water then it did at a lower rpm....or am i talking about boost? Im still trying to understand that a little better before i buy the parts for my system.

Check out these sites, they helped me out a lot:

read the 20,000 page thread that I have in the 3rd gen section. EVERYTHING HAS BEEN COVERED. including links to the actual parts, calculations, diagrams, etc.

The way I look at it if you only want reliability than go with 100% water, if you want added power on top of that go with a 50/50% mixture. They both enter the system as an aqueous solution so they both are going to vaporize and require energy to do so, that's where they cool the air around them by using that heat. The methanol is just going to give you better combustion and reduce detonation. Don't forget detonation can also be caused by poor fuel, so if you accidentally pick up 86 octane and you are running 50% methanl it is going to raise the octane.

If you're tuned to rely on the ethanol with 91 Oct. and get a bad batch with Wi. you're just as SOL as if you had it tuned for no W.I. and got a bad batch... you're just a couple of ponys ahead of the other guy...

Or you could do like what I plan on doing and tune for running water than add 10% methanol to cover the bases. If you get a bad tank of fuel, the water and the methanol will keep intake temps down and the methanol will increase the octane thus reducing the chance of detonation. Simple math really.
