What do you believe is wrong? Is it the smoke out the exhaust? If so, what is the color and what is the temperature outside when you started the car.

I think the seals are bad. But I've never seen one idle like that for a bit then go normal. The smoke never fully goes away either. White smoke

What exactly do you mean by "idle like that and then go normal." It should idle at close to 1500 rpm after a cold start and then slowly drop to 750. Is it doing something else?

It's kind of like a rough start. Sounds almost like it has a mild cam in it if it was a v8. Like an unusual lope in the idle. Then after it does that it idles normally but the smoke never fully goes away.

White smoke is typical of coolant. Does it smell sweet? Are you losing coolant? If so, you could open the coolant fill cap and start the car. If it starts bubbling rather quickly then there is the liklihood of a coolant seal failure.

Seems like that's the issue. It's a car I'm considering buying. Everything else works great. Never been messed with. You think it's worth buying? Also this is a duplicate thread. My app is working crazy and it didn't post in the new member section buy then it did.
