Triumph spitfire rotary swap

Hey guys,
Just signed up here to try and find out information regarding an engine swap I'm thinking of doing. However, I do not know the 1st thing about rotary engines. I'm trying to get around 250HP, light, and smaller. Any opinions on where to start? Anyone here ever done this swap? What generation? Twin turbo verses single? Any info, direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Billy

Hey Billy.
I am in the middle of doing a swap in an MG BGT. I got a 3rd gen FD3S twin turbo and tranny for the project. So far the problems I have run into are with the height of the rotary. I removed the turbos and will go with a single turbo but I have to design and fabricate a manifold due to the car being RHD. Something else that I ran into with this is having the wiring. I got the eng harness but am missing the ignition connectors, good luck finding those.

If I had it to do again, I would have gone with a 2nd gen engine. They seem a lot less complicated. Hope this helps and let me know if you want some measurements or want to know more of what I have run into, that would have helped me a bunch. Good luck and sounds like fun!!
