Tranny!!

How much does it cost to swap a auto tranny into manual?! what other parts do I need besides manual tranny itself?

U also need the pedals, clutch master cylinder and lines from it to the slave cylinder. U may also nee the tranny mount and also the drive shaft. Oh, and of course the flywheel.

what about the pilot bearing and counter balancing weights?

Yes to the pilot bearing, the counter balance weight is only needed for the auto tranny for added centrifical weight since the flywheel, or flex plate, for the auto is quite thin. Changing to the flywheel for the clutch and pressure plate to bolt to is heavy and doesn't need the counter weight. Now if u go with a light weight steel or aluminum flywheel, u'll need the counter weight.

Had to bump this up. For the swap, all that is needed is the above items? What about the wire harness? Will there need to be any changes to the wire harness to switch from auto to MT? Will I have to swap out the ecu also? Thanks in advance!
