So when I first got the 87 rx7 gxl, w/elec suspension, it was fine, so whenever I reverse theres this thumping coming from the rear, and it also thumps when coasting in gear, or coasting out of gear, stops thumping under medium to heavy braking and under acceleration. Sat still out of gear at idle and rev no thumping. I shot some brake cleaner and some lube spray at the rear mounts and it seemed to lessen up but it still thumped real bad reversing. P.s. the thumping while reversing only happens when i let off accelerator and coast in gear. Now with all that said, help please, I have hear pillow bearing, strut mounts, bad mounted struts, OH p.s.s. the struts have been changed from the elec suspension, and converted to reg suspension, not my doing, also kyb-g up front and reg monroe in the rear. The previous owner was basically fixing it and selling it, runs fine except slight quiet popping at idle and decel. yea help with that too if you like haha. Thanks!
