These ohms measure up?

I tested the old wires that are now out of the car, but I don't know what the numbers mean yet.
The trailing wire that was on the badly fouled plug measured 1.571 ohm while the others ranged from 2.126-2.640 ohm.

I don't know what numbers I should be looking for though.

Any help?

Higher ohms = more resistance. So the wire on the fouled plug seems to have the least resistance. Making it the best wire of the bunch. Flex the wire as you check it. It is possible that the wire is broken inside the sheath.

The stock spec says the resistance should be around 4 ohms for the 10 inch wire. Thats what I do not understand.

If that`s the case, I would say you`r wires are fine and it`s time to start looking elsewhere for the cause of you`r fouling problem.

I'm wondering if a wire can lose reistance some how and emit RFI and EMI that might cause the signal to be corrupted thus fouling the plug. They were stock NGK's.
