swaping a 13b in a 84 gs

Sorry about my last post it got messed up or something.
I wanted to know, if i want to swap a 13b into my 84 GS which has a 12a would i have to get new engine mounts? or is there a 13b that will bolt in?

welcome ~

browse through the Gen I section on this board. admidst all the extraneous stuff is some good info.

anyway to answer your question, it will depend on which 13B you get. if it's 1985 or older, you'll only need a modified mounting bracket and oil pan.

if it's 1986 or newer, you'll need to swap your front cover in addition to the bracket and oil pan.

a GSL-SE, yes. a regular 12A, no. you can use the bracket from either one - you'll have to modify it either way. however, for the oil pan, you must use the SE oil pan because of it's shape.
