I pull the turbo out and all apex seals are intact but one on the rear is stuck on the rotor grub i tried pick, oil, turning the engine with the starter, magnet LOL and yes there is a ton of carbon built up. Try soaking the inside of the engine with ATF or oil. That might help. I would advise you to just go ahead and tear the engine apart. Buy a gasket set, 3rd gen corner seal springs. and replace the apex seals with 2 piece seals. That way you do not have to worry about it. That will also give you the oppertunity to inspect and/or replace the rotor bearings and stationary bearings. I have only heard of a very few people getting a JDM engine without having to rebuild them. Not trying to scare you, but trying to advise.
