What seals will be better for a bridgeport 12A

Driving:

idle-6000 RPM=Steel
4000-8000+ RPM=Carbon.

If you ever want to axcess 8500 you need carbon.

If you spend lots and lots of time over 6000, carbon is a good idea, but not necessary as long as you keep it under 8500. Seal life goes down the higher your average revs are, and the iron seals start to chatter over 6200, and sometimes you can exceed 8500 and live to tell about it, the rest of the time the engine dies shortly...
