starts...sometimes, runs well/bad sometimes...

Okay I have an S4 NA with an 89 NA motor in it and I've gotten it to start earlier in the week and I had it idling, then the other day I got it idling for about 10 minutes then it stalls and I haven't been able to restart it since.

I know it flooded because the oil smells like gas and I've already been through a set of plugs, I don't want to buy a 3rd set for going 0 miles. so I've been cleaning and drying them up and now the car will only start when I put copious amounts of starter fluid in at the throttle body and then it seems to die after it runs out of starter fluid.

so now your thinking its a fuel problem but I am getting fuel because it floods, the injectors are fine and they have been rebalanced and cleaned by a very reputable professional. I am using S5 fuel rails and FPR.

the coils are getting power and are within spec

the TPS is properly adjusted

plug wires resistance is 9.08Kohms for the Leading side and trailing side are 6.75kohm and 14.45kohm (same wires on the previous motor and never had a problem)

the AFM is within resistance specs and flapper moves freely.

CAS is within spec and has not been removed from the motor, to avoid errors from re-stabbing it

battery is new and fine and I get a 2 volt drop during cranking so the lowest it gets is around 10-11volts during cranking and the starter solenoid is new.

I brush off the plugs and clean them out with carb cleaner, let them sit and it wants to start but doesn't. None of this makes any sense since I had it idling and starting fine only a couple days ago and no changes have been made. I haven't changed the oil yet since I want to get it to start before I change it just in case it floods again, and it uses premix so I dont have to worry about it injecting gasoline diluted oil in the housing.

I'm running out of ideas, after all I heard it start and run for a while and without changing anything it just wont start...

so I put about 2 tablespoons (I have a "flavor injector" for a needle) of premix oil in each rotor housing and gave the plugs a rub and put some starting fluid in on the throttle body and it fired right up nearly then smoked a bunch of oil out and I drove around the block a few times and it ran like a ******* champ and then I pull in my driveway and let it idle for a while the water temp got up to 150 degrees and stalls and I cant get it to restart and continue running by even using the same methods to get it started.

BUT I was able to get it started, barely, and then it ran like ***, ( pulling the plugs, cleaning them, adding more oil in the chamber, starting fluid ) I had to give it a lot of throttle for it even stay running and it didn't do that very long, it sounded like it was getting choked.

the fuel filter is new, I get even pulses when de-flooding.

it sounds like it wants to start better with the massive mounts of oil put in the chamber.

I'm getting spark because I see spark from all plugs when I ground them to the chassis. and I'm getting fuel because you can smell it in the exhaust and it seems to flood (you can smell it on the dipstick). I got this motor from a board member several months ago but haven't been able to put it in until recently...

help?
