hi i just got an 83 rx that when i turn the the key all i hear is clicking.. any ideas?

 

need more details... everything on the interior turn on? fuel pump turn on? have you tried charging the battery? checking the starter? simple easy things to try?

 

yes ever in the interior turns on. fuel pump is on.i dont know about starter?

 

yeah I just got an 83 too and it ran but a few days ago I tried to start it and it did that same thing... like it wasn't even trying to start but I tried starting it again a couple of days later and it did just fine:/ not sure what the deal was...

Unless it's seized from internal rusting you can probably unseize it without rebuilding.

i take it you've actually tried turning it by hand already to come to that conclusion?
