i was wondering if anybody could help? My car this morning started bucking back and forth. Then the car stalled so i started it right back up. The car will stay started for like 3 sec during the warm up cycle then it stalls right away. the engine stays started as lon as i give it gas but will not rev past 3800 rpm while in gear and just backfires while at 3800 rpm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The car is also very sluggish.

sounds like an ignition problem. likely a failed igniter or something. that would be my guess. check the timing and also see if you are firing on all wires.

 

Get rid of the car! Buy a piston motor.
