Sputter under boost

My car is bone stock with HKS filters and a muffler. When I get on to bosst it starts to sputter and it sounds like it is the wastegate leaking off boost cause the car is loosing power. Has anyone ever had this problem? And quick fixes?

Mine too

I have a bone stock 87 rx7 turbo and am having what sounds like the same proble. When the boost kicks in i can hear a sound like that of a 100,000 rpm grind, i used to think it was the blow off valve stuck open but then i noticed my boost guage was registering psi so it must be something else. Please right back if u find out what the problem is.

It might be a split hose (from turbo to intercooler, intercooler to intake).

My car did that before I replaced all the couplers and hoses when upgrading the intercooler. It would seem to sputter and hesitate, like you were running into a wall. It might also be fuel cut. What is your boost gauge telling you?
