Spec clutches

Hey guys, i just have a simple question, just wondering if anyone had any good or bad luck with spec clutches? I have a os giken twin plate for years and been slipping lately and just looking to replace it but don't want anything super agresive. I was looking at the spec 2 plus to replace it. Just want feedback thanks

Eddie

the logical side of my brain tells me that it makes no sense condemning the whole brand based on one bad event, but everytime i see SPEC i think of Directfreak's experience with his many years ago.

they seem to be fairly popular in the Audi and Porsche worlds as well, where i've heard some bad experiences, but the majority of the guys that use them over there seem to like them and have no issues. i still hold skepticism though.

Yeah i heard back and fourth about spec. I just haven't heard anyone with them on a rx7. But at the same time i seen personally bad things about act and clutchmasters too. I have to look up Directfreak post. I didn't know he had bad experience with them.

Just installed a spec stage 3 in my FD and so far it's good. Holding around 400whp at the moment.

I've used a spec stage 1 clutch and lightened flywheel in my SW20 MR2 Turbo back in the day. Minor chatter, but it grabbed and performed well. I even did pizza deliveries in it, nothing too unbearable once you got used to it, and I never had any performance issues out of it.
