Cool smoky after rebuilt

Hi just finish mi built on a S5 tII pineapple racing MSP. lapped ,nitrated irons. all seals are new. side, apex. polish rotors, bigger studs, used rotor housings-but on good shape. ported oil pump passages, thermo bypass mod, 200 air jet mod for the eccentric shaft oilers , stationary gears mod new bearings and yes the oil control ring are used but with in tolerances the engine starts an runs like no problem it has run for 3 or 4 cessions of 5 to 20 minutes and it smokes. on mi mind a little less each time.
how much is to much?
what u thing is wrong?

Thanks...

Nothing is wrong, it is normal for a new rebuilt engine to smoke for about an hour after you first start it.

it is fairly normal for a startup engine to smoke initially as has been posted.

two other considerations:

if the surface of your re-nitrided irons is too smooth your motor will smoke forever.

if you ported any of the inner edge of the intake ports that supports the oil ring your motor will smoke.

good luck,

howard coleman

Is your setup a single turbo?

Where are your vents for the oil injectors connected?

yes it is a single turbo gt35r and the oil injectors are connected to the round 4 to 1 splitter and to the back part of the top manifold closes to the firewall.

That is interesting mi friend have a fd and basically same setup turbo injectors porting and hes oil injectors vents are open to the atmosphere?

thanks...

They should be vented to the atmosphere! You are sucking all of the oil out of the injector at idle...... than when you get on the boost it will take some time before the rotors are getting any oil! "Bad karma"as Lynn Hanover would say.

Pop off one the filter vents that are used on your old solenoids and stick that on the lines for a filtered vent.
