slow acceleration and hesitation?
Hey guys, i have a question and was hoping you guys can help me out here. I have a stock 88 gxl with a coupe bad exhaust gasket and it seems to not accelerate as fast as it should. When i give it gas from a stop, it doesnt pick up as fast as other rx7 i drove before until it reaches around 4k rpm. Also after i shift when the shift up light turns on and makes its little beep sound, it hesitates for a split second or two. I know the leak will have some power loss but i dont think it would make it hesitate (bog) would it? Is there anything i can do other than fix the gasket as its already on the to do list to fix this? Sorry im new to rotaries so all help appreciated.

Could be the TPS needs to be adjusted. Green/Red wire should read 1 volt w/key to on and engine as hot as it can get (20 minute drive should do). Could also be the primary injectors (secondary injectors kick in at 3800 rpm which would explain the boost in the pickup you feel).
