Simple: How-to Put In Sparkplug?
Hello,
As a practical and not-so-funny joke, a friend with my spare key has prevented my car from starting. The engine cranks, but does not start. I did some research, and I realize that the 3 reasons for this are; Fuel, Spark, and Compression. He's done this before - to my other car - with the exact same result, so I figure it can't be Compression - a rotary engine doesn't work the same way as a V6, you can't just unplug something to stop Compression, .. right?
In any case, not getting into any details about this "friend", can someone - please - write simple instructions for purchasing the correct type of sparkplug(s) and installing them in the car?
Basically, I would like to walk down to Kragen's or whatever, purchase, pop in, and drive away. I have never done anything like this before, my extent of mechanical experience is limited to changing the oil.

i would tell said friend "touch the seven again and you die"
on a side note i think 2nd gen plugs are br8eq-14 or br9eq-14. check the fsm.
unscrew old plug, screw in new plug, make sure plug wires are going to the correct plugs(fsm again)

Wow, some friend... That's kind of an amusing prank though.
Now for some payback. Personally, I'd cut up some fish into tiny chunks, and put them someplace inaccessible, or at least hidden. Maybe his heat/air conditioning intake vents?

first off, i dont think he changed youre plugs, so buying new ones probably wont make it start. i say check youre under hood fuses, mainly the EFI one, with out that no fuel. then check plugwires/coil wires, look for anything unplugged. if youre buddy knows that you dont have much car experience, he probably did something simple and/or obvious.

Probably did not mess with the plugs themselves since they're kinda a bitch to get to.

If your car stinks of gas, then it is flooded. Hold gas pedal to the floor and crank until it starts... 10 seconds or so then let rest (to let the starter and battery cable cool down) and try one more time.
If you need spark plugs then there are two sets in your car. Leading plugs and Trailing plugs... this is indicated by a "T" or "L" printed on the plug as well as a "T" or "L" cast into the aluminum housing next to the park plug hole. Each housing has one of each

^ So... I just got my 7 a couple weeks ago and I am about to put in the PFC. I'm thinking I will be giving her an oil change and fresh plugs/wires before I do the install (just to be on the safe side)
I realize there is a difference in the lead plug and trailing plug irt location and timing of fire. Is there any *physical* difference in the plugs themselves though? Can I go out and pick up 4 NGK Plat plugs and just swap them in for the old ones, or is there a difference in the plugs themselves from leading to trailing?
I have searched.
