hey, just bought my first rx7.... its 93vrfd-r1 it has about 76k miles on it and it was sitting for about nine months. i hauled it home yesterday and did some wire repair to a couple of spots were some mice got into things. i put a hot battery in it and turned it over and to my supprize it started. i had to give it alot of fuel and the whole car was shaking badly. it sounded like a piston motor with fouled sparkplugs and as soon as i lifted the pedal it would die. if anyone can tell me if i have motor problems or if you have any ideas, all info. would be greatly accepted.

 

sounds kinda like it's running on one rotor. if mice chewed up the harness, maybe one of the primary injectors isn't firing. maybe it's an ignition thing...

check the codes and go from there. there's a million things it *could* be.
