Hey there,

The stock pulley will have the Bolt holes set so that you can really only put the pulley on Correctly.
Even though it looks like the 4 bolt holes are "square" they are NOT..they are specific to prevent the pulley from being put on Incorrectl.
Mazda's way of saying"you can't screw this up".
If the holes do not align then keep turning it until the pulley bolt holes and the hub holes align..simple as that.
Put the pulley on and line up the Leading mark to the Pin on the front cover.
Take the CAS and align the Gear notch at the bottom with the divot that you see on it.
NOW,while Holding the internals of the CAS carefully Stab the CAS into it's Hole in the Front cover.Make sure that the innards of the Cas do not move "excessively" and that the case sits down snug onto its mounting hole.
This should basically give you close to stock timing.

As far as Haltech Timing,I don't want to steer you wrong on that.,.I remember something about Locking timing but again I am not sure.
You can ask in the Haltech section of this Forum if you wish to do so.
