I'm as good wido with rotories as i am with cyll engines, so i need some help from rx8/rotary experience.
Note:already checked normal engine problems, vacuum leaks, spark, and fuel.

So my friends rx8 engine went bad, another shop diagnosed it, no start, whatsoever, and not battery our starter problem.

He got his engine rebuilt, and now his car starts at cold start, and dies hot idle. He told me it had no power, but it sounds ok removing idle.

We did a little searching and ruled out ignition coils, ruled out throttle body/idle air control.

I have not done compression yet, i didn't bring my compression tester, but other People With rx8s have the same problem.

Now this goes completely against my cyl engine teachings. Hotter engine should run smoother and build more compression.

Anyone know or hear about this?

Does it have to do with a new rebuilt engine? The rebuild was not done by a reputable shop that i know of. T this is supposed to be a guy that has done it before, butI've never heard.

Another friend told me about ecu, but it doesn't sound like that
