whats the feasability of putting the new rx8 engine in a 3rd gen rx7? i dont know why, but im just not really digging the style of that rx8 (at least not as much as the rx7)

 

This has been posted before- Try searching. I dont think anyone knows enough about the rx8's demensions to be sure if it will fit or not.

Good luck getting it to run good in the car even if it will fit... the rx8 motor has 2 drive by wire throttle bodies, the exhaust ports/manifold are completely different, and I think it has like 3 or some other random number of primary injectors.

 

from what ive read the renesis is a little smaller than the 13b, so it should fit. its bound to be pricey, but would also be cool as crap, especially at 9k! (and w/ a turbo!) or maybe i'm mad.

 

drive by wire=no throttle cable? all computer controlled? interesting....I wonder if the haltech or other aftermarket computer could control it.....
