New to club. Just purchased RX7 RS born in 2000. I wanted to verify its year and type all I have is the following:

Model: GF FD3s
Paint: PT JLD
VIN: FD3S-504184

Can anyone tell me how to confirm its year and whether it is an RS type?

I noted the RZ has a special mazdaspeed carbon interior - which this one has - I wondered whether the dealer has listed it incorrectly and it is an RZ? How can I verify the type? And year, as the RZ with this interior came out in August 2001.

u got it mixed up. the RZ version 6 came out at October 2000. on August 2001
the Type R Bathurst R. This is the model with the mazdaspeed carbon look interior.
There should be a sticker showing it's grade like this one http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...45_15_full.jpg (taken from racer1's site)

If yours is an RZ(you must be a very lucky guy!!) it should have a sticker with the letters RZ in red next to the door handle at the B pillar , Red Recaro Seats, BBS 17" rims in gunmetal color, and many other things.
