RX-7 Clutch Experts!!

I have a serries 3 RX-7 (1st gen) with a 13b turbo etc and serries 5 gearbox, i recently purchased a brand new rx-7 serries 4/5 slave cyl, and fitted it to my serries 5 gearbox, i bleed the system and sure enough the clutch wont clear, meaning if i start the car in gear with my foot ON the clutch the car jumps forward. After a lot of Fu(king around with no luck i pulled my master cyl out and put all new seals etc through it, put it all back together bleed it and it still won't work!!! I then pulled the rubber boot off the slave cyl and got my dad to press the clutch pedal and i held a mirror near the slave cyl and the piston isn't comming all the way out it stops about 20 - 25 mm from the edge of the bore of the slave cyl, this to me doesn't seem right (does anyone know if this is right?). I compared the specs of the rx-7 S3 master cyl with the S4/5 master cyl and the bore is the same size ie 15.87mm!! the only thing that may be different is the S4/5 might have a longer stroke to its master cyl CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS??

I really am lost as to what it could be, also the standard serries 3 slave cyl has the exact same dimensions to the serries 4, (bore is 19mm) the only difference is where the mounting bolts go! Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing it, or who might know
